HOW WE MAKE KRATOM TEA
We’ve been experimenting with kratom tea and so far and it has been pretty cool. The Kratom basically becomes a tea and has a more pleasant smell than when it was in its physical powdery form.
Our experience with kratom tea isn’t much, but we’ll show you simple and easy steps to make the kratom tea.
Try it and let us know how it goes.
The method of making this type of Kratom tea is written by Victor Pride from Bold&Determined.
The last time my brother and I have tried kratom tea was several months back, and the results were not as pleasant as we thought because we consumed the tea too fast. here is how it went:
- Measured out and used 8 grams of Malaysian Hippo (Strain is no longer available) to make the tea.
- Used a 1 small water bottle (80z).
- The color of the kratom came out nice dark for the first try, lighter on the second try, and there was minimum residue.
- I allowed the kratom tea to cool down before refilling back into the small bottle (We don’t want melted plastic).
- Drank half the bottle.
- Felt good aromas.
- Continued finish the other half.
- 30 minutes later I had feelings of Anxiety and annoyed by everything.
- Gain some more experience with Kratom tea and dosage
If you are going to use 8 grams of Kratom for your tea, be sure that it is your normal dosage, or take small sips of it throughout your day. When you feel the effects, stop and refrigerate your tea for later use.
We believe kratom tea is good for people who can’t digest the powdery substance.
Even when Kratom is in the form of tea, the taste still isn’t too pleasant. To fix that you can add honey, lemon, stevia, or Mio liquid water enhancer to the tea to make it taste better.
Let us know how you make your kratom tea. 🙂
The materials you’ll need for your kratom tea:
- Spoon (to stir with)
- Digital scale or measuring spoon
- 2-3 cups of water
- Coffee Filter
Now that you have everything ready to go, let’s get down to business.
Begin by pouring 3 cups of water into the pot and then place the pot on the stove. Set the stove to medium heat and let the water warm up. The water should only shimmer and not boiled. We believe too much heat destroy some alkaloids of the Kratom.
Next measure out the amount of kratom dosage right for you. Try 6-8 grams your first time and see if you should raise or lower that amount.
When the pot begins to smoke or shimmer, pour the kratom that you have measured out into the pot.
re-adjust you stove on to medium-low heat.
Stir the Kratom and be sure to do this every 5-7 minutes.
If the water starts to excessively boil, turn down the fire a little more. We only want the water to shimmer.
Again, stir every 5-7 minutes for about 20-30 minutes.
Turn off the pot and let the Kratom tea cool down for about 5-10 minutes.
Next step: Extracting Kratom tea From Residue/Powder:
To extract the kratom tea from the powder, you’ll need something to contain it.
In this case, we used a big glass mug.
Take your coffee filter and place it in your funnel. You now have a filtered funnel.
Place the funnel with the coffee filter on top of the container.
When you have everything assembled together it should look something similar to this depending on what you used to hold the tea. In this case, we use a big glass mug. You can use a plastic bottle, but be sure that the tea warm, but isn’t too hot where it melts the bottle.
Take your pot and slowly pour the kratom tea into the filtered funnel. Do not rush it or the filtered funnel will overflow. Allow it some time to separate the liquid from the residue/powder. Continue pouring when liquid lessens in the filtered funnel.
You’ll notice that the residue/powder will start to build up in your coffee filter, and the liquid will come out very slowly. We suggest that you carefully grab hold of the coffee filter, and gently squeeze the lower end to get the last bits of the remaining liquid.
If you still have more kratom tea in your pot, go ahead and put in a new coffee filter into your funnel, and gently pour the rest in.
And there you have it. Pure kratom tea. There may be some signs of powder, but not too significant.
If you haven’t tossed away the coffee filter with the kratom powder yet, you can go ahead and remove the powder from the used coffee filter and place it back into the pot, and repeat the whole process for another batch of tea.
In our case, the kratom becomes a lighter color. but sometimes it is the opposite and we don’t know the reason for this.
That’s It Folks:
We are further experimenting with kratom tea, and try to make a few tweaks to it. You can go ahead and do the same.
Note that you shouldn’t drink all the Kratom at once depending on your dosage. You should relax with it, sit outside the back yard and hang out with your pets and take several sips of the tea.
If you do want to drink all the tea at once, don’t measure 6-8 grams unless that is your normal dosage. Measure a little less or else you risk taking too much Kratom and may feel nauseous.
To make the Kratom tea more pleasant, we usually add stevia, honey, or lemon into the tea to make it taste a bit better. But you are your own scientist and it’s free to experiment however you want.
If you are wondering where to get kratom to start making the tea then go to Happy Hippo. Our favorite vendor sales very high-quality kratom so you won;t be disappointed.
Have fun, and enjoy some kratom tea.
